Dynamis Rules Empty
PostSubject: Dynamis Rules   Dynamis Rules Icon_minitime07/04/08, 11:21 am

Firstly our run time will be Monday at 17:00GMT and Thursday at 18:00GMT gather together times, and enter dynamis passing 30 min of gather together time.

It would be apreciated if you could all be here on time as late runs on Monday will directly make us late on a Thursday due to the time limitations between runs (3 days).

The Points System:

We are to set up a 'tier' system that is dependant upon attendances, the only rule within these tiers is that you can not lot against somebody in a tier higher than your own, however you can lot against anyone within the same tier.

Tier 1 = 1-10 places
Tier 2 = 11-20 places
Tier 3 = 21-30 places

And so on.. for each full attendance you make, you move two places within your tier, until you hit 11 initially at which point you would move into tier 2.
For a late attendance or an early departure you move 1 place within the
current tier.

Should an AF drop and there are 3 people in tier 2 wishing to lot, and 4 in
tier 1, then only the people within tier 2 would be able to lot.

Obtaining an AF will remove 6 places from your position.

This system is what we feel as a middle ground between points and a free for
all systems. As attendance is still rewarded, but not as strictly as a full on points system would be.

It also keeps a fair balance between those with multiple jobs, and those with
only one, as it is then down to the user whether to spend their points into
multiple jobs, or concentrate on the one, essentially giving everyone the same chances of AF.

From 3 Feb 2009, runs on:

- San d'Oria
- Windurst
- Bastok
- Jeuno

will give 4 points instead of 3.

Arriving late / Leaving soon:

Arriving 15 mins late to events or leaving soon (all events in NoTeD, including Limbus) will be penalized unless you advice before to sacks or at forum, as follows:

- Dynamis cities: -2 points (you will get 2 points instead 4; 0 if arrive late & leave soon)

- Dynamis Beauce, Xarca or CoPs: -1 point (you will get 1 points instead 2; 0 if arrive late & leave soon)

- Limbus: -1 points (you will get 1 points instead 2; 0 if arrive late & leave soon)

Lotting:

Ancient Currency: Collected by Sacks, everyone else MUST pass. Until sponsership.

Relic Weapons: Free lot
Relic Armor: Lotted according to posted requests and tiers.

When finish a run a topic will be open in forums. Members that need (mean lvl 65+) AF have to post thier requested AF in the forums. This topic will be closed before the run start in 1 hour. Anyone who missed posting, will lose his right to lot the AF.

The new ppl will need 3 full runs for can post for AF2 (this mean 6 points).

If nobody post for one AF2, then will be available to people with that job level 70+ and more 3 runs, if nobody lvl 65+ and more 3 runs...if nobody then we let new ppl (this mean -3 runs) can lot for AF2.

Lotting Shadow items (Items DL):

Shadow items will go for highest tier person and it will cost 20 points.
If there is more than 1 person in the highest tier it will go job priority(valid jobs lvl75 only).

Jobs priority are: PLD > NIN > meeles > mages

For example:
Highest tier is 9, tier 9 got 3 ppl. member A, member B, member C
Member A have THF and BLU, member B have WAR and MNK , member C have RDM and BLM, then member A and B can lot for shadow item.
But now supose member C have RDM BLM NIN , then item will go for item C cuz have NIN (jobs priority).

MUST BE lvl 75 cuz shadow items are lvl 75.

Be properly equipped:

Do not use gimp weapons in Dynamis, it is not a skill up party. If you wish to use a different weapon, get it capped first and then ask your job leader for permission.

Eat food, eat the RIGHT food. No one expects you to use expensive food, just food you can reasonably afford. Every member is expected to bring enough food to last the whole Dynamis, so bring extra food for time extensions and deaths.

Bring the necessary medicine and use it for the specific run. These may include Echo Drops, Holy Water, Antidotes, Remedies and Poison / Venom potions.

Following Instructions:

On a Dynamis run, one person is in charge and that person will make decisions and judgments as required. You must follow their instructions WITHOUT question. Dynamis is a dangerous place and not following instructions will get everyone killed. While on a run, there is no democracy, you will follow their instructions even if you think they are wrong.

Additional people are assigned roles such as Party Leader, Job Leader, etc. You will follow their instructions completely and /ASSIST them as required.

Monsters will often need to be fought in a specific order. Therefore you must turn off the AutoTarget feature otherwise you might attack the wrong one and cause a mass death. "/autotarget off" be sure to type that before an event, as sometimes doing it through the menu does not work.

The majority of monsters must be kept asleep. You must not use DOT (Damage over time) spells (e.g. Dia, Bio, Poison, Frost, etc) or equipment which have these effects. These effects will keep awaking the monster leading to a death. Unless otherwise told, never use them.

If you have violated any rules while on a run, you will be asked to drop your hourglass. If you do so, we'll be happy to discuss the matter with you later. If we are forced to kick you from alliance, your Pearl will be broken.

Fake Disconnect:

If we are faced with a mass death or you lose a bid / lot and disconnect. If you stay disconnected it will be assumed you faked a D/C and your Pearl will be broken.

Raise:

You will die often in Dynamis. It is to be expected, do not whine about it. In the interest of saving time and MP, you will accept ANY raise offered to you. If you have a problem accepting any Raise I, we recommend brining and using your own Reraise items. White mages are expected to keep re-raise up at ALL TIMES.

Aggro:

Do not use the auto-follow feature. A simple DC or equipment swap of the person you are following could lead you running directly into a group of monsters. Pay attention and stay alert at all times.

Going AFK is to be avoided as much as humanly possible. Dynamis is a timed event and being away wastes time and possible drops, and may lead to Aggro.

If you have to go AFK, you should log off or make /tell me (Oriol). If you return before the run is over DO NOT MOVE. Inform the group you are back, if we can safely get you, we will otherwise drop your hourglass. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT RUN AROUND.

If you get aggro, just die. Running around will simply train everything and kill everyone. If you train monsters back to the group, your Pearl will be broken.
If the group is ever faced with a losing battle (too many links), if you are told to die rather then prolonging the inevitable, you will do as you are told and die. Continuing to fight will only waste time so it's best to die and have the whole group raised up faster.

Leaving & Rejoining:

Members who go inactive for over a month or quit shell and wish to rejoin will have their points reset to 0 upon their return.

AFK:

If you REALLY need afk, you must make a /tell to who is leading the run. Puller needs know status of players all time for best pulling.

Try dinner before or after Dynamis; if can't, make a /tell to puller asking when and where can afk.

In any case, afk's can't get long time, just 5 min or so.

NEVER afk when death! At least get raise before, and again, advice puller.

If we realize someone is doing inadequate afks, we won't doubt to kick him/her of LS.
We prefer 18 good members focused than 36 and half of them afk's or unfocused.
